Being located on the edge of the Eastern Lake District we are ideally located for exploring this truly stunning part of the lakes. Just 2 miles from Lake  Ullswater and the picturesque village of Pooley Bridge which sits at the northern end of the lake. We are 20mins from Glenridding via car or bus and 25mins from the beautiful town of Keswick. We are just 25 mins from the hidden gem of the lake district, the Hawswater reservoir , nestled in the stunning Mardale valley.

 

 

 

Things to do

Walking

We are located just 1 mile from the fells above Ullswaters and easy access to plenty of lovely walks ranging from short ambles to challenging hill walks. For those looking to bag a few Wainrights we have Arthur's pike ,load pot hill, Bonscale pike and wether hill within a good days walk and many more within a short drive.We're not far from Glenridding and Helvelyn and also Blencathra and just 30 mins from Keswick to tackle cat bells

Trail/Fell Running

With lots of option for off road running the is something for everyone. From low level river runs to high fell runs. We have lots of experience running in and around there area and can offer advice on where to go.

Road/Mountain Biking

There are lots of quiet country lanes to cycle on and also plenty of off road trails to explore

Open water Swimmimg

Ullswater is one of the most scenic lakes to swim in . 

Paddle boarding /Kayaking

There's lots places to easy access Ullswater to take you paddle board or kayak. If you don't have one there are places where you can hire them.

Visitor attractions

Theres lots to see and do around us. Visit historic houses like Lowther castle and Delmain House. Close by are the Neothithic henges of  Authers round table and mayburgh .Take the Ullswater steamer down to Glenridding and walk back via the Ullswater way. Further a field is the Honistor slate mine . Take a tour through the mine and for the adventurous try the via ferrata
